Kingston Beach is a residential locality in the Kingborough council, situated about 2 km south‑east of Kingston and overlooking the River Derwent at the mouth of Browns Rivulet. The 2021 census recorded 2,305 residents, many of whom enjoy the patrolled beach from December to April, a dedicated dog beach, bike park, barbecues, playgrounds, a sailing club and a range of local shops.
