Kingston Beach is a residential locality in the Kingborough LGA, about 2 km south‑east of Kingston and part of the greater Hobart area. The 2021 census recorded a community of 2,305 people living on the River Derwent at the mouth of Browns Rivulet. The suburb’s namesake beach is patrolled by the Kingston Beach Surf Life Saving Club from December to April and is complemented by a dog beach, bike park, barbecue area, sailing club, playgrounds and a range of local shops, offering an active coastal lifestyle.
Access is provided by Route B68 (Channel Highway) which runs to the north‑west, with several side roads linking into the suburb. Within a kilometre the town centre of Kingston, Channel Court Shopping Centre and Kingston Town Shopping Centre supply retail needs, while nearby primary schools and secondary colleges give families convenient educational options. The mix of beachside living and easy transport makes Kingston Beach a well‑rounded residential choice.
