Lebrina is a rural town in Tasmania’s Northern region, administered by the City of Launceston. Situated about 38 km north‑east of Launceston, the locality enjoys a quiet, country atmosphere framed by the Denison River in the south‑east corner and Pipers Brook, which rises in the south‑west and winds toward the north‑west. The area’s name, an Aboriginal word meaning “house” or “hut,” reflects its historic connection to the land and it was officially gazetted in 1964.
