The 2016 census recorded just nine residents, reflecting a housing mix of wide‑spaced rural properties rather than dense neighbourhoods. Access is provided by Route C529 (Lower Marshes Road), which traverses the area from south‑east to south‑west, linking the locality to the surrounding countryside and nearby landmarks, including historic weather‑station sites at Salisbury and Merrivale.
