Lutana is a residential suburb of Greater Hobart, lying about 3 kilometres south‑east of Glenorchy and bordered by the Brooker Highway and the western shore of the River Derwent. At the 2021 Census it recorded 2,616 residents. The housing stock reflects its origins as a model garden‑city village for zinc‑works employees, with early Arts‑and‑Crafts concrete homes alongside later weatherboard, brick, townhouses and apartments that give the area a varied inner‑urban character.
