Opossum Bay is a quiet, rural‑residential enclave on the South Arm Peninsula, about 37 km south‑east of Rosny Park and on the outskirts of Hobart. At the 2016 census it recorded 329 residents, many of whom enjoy sea‑breezed summers thanks to the surrounding Derwent River and Ralphs Bay.
