Rosetta is a residential suburb of Hobart, 3 km northwest of Glenorchy and about a 15‑minute drive from the city centre. The 2021 Census recorded 2,833 residents. Bordered by the Brooker Highway (National Route 1) and the River Derwent, the suburb has good road access; a rail service operated until 1974.
