Squeaking Point is a small rural locality in the Latrobe council area of Tasmania’s north‑west, about 76 km north‑west of Launceston. The 2016 census recorded 223 residents, giving the community a quiet, close‑knit character set against the waters of the Rubicon Estuary, which marks its eastern edge. Nearby natural features, including Eagle Point Beach, several islands and the Brow ns Lookout mountain, offer immediate access to coastal and bush‑walk experiences.
