Tullah, TAS 7321
Overview
Tullah sits on the western shore of Lake Rosebery, about 111 km south of Burnie, and is loosely divided into an older northern area that grew from the 1900 Mount Farrell mining settlement and a newer, planned southern section created during the 1970s‑1990s hydro‑electric works. This split gives the town a mixed housing stock, with heritage homes in the north and more recent government‑built residences to the south. Road access is complemented by a small airstrip at Tullah Airport (≈0.8 km away) and the preserved 610 mm gauge Wee Georgie Wood Railway that runs close to the Murchison Highway, while a boat ramp off Farrell Street provides direct lake entry.Streets in Tullah
