Ulverstone sits on Tasmania’s northern coast at the mouth of the River Leven, a short 21 km drive west of Devonport and 12 km east of Penguin. With an urban population of 11,613 (June 2021), the town is the region’s largest centre and is easily accessed via the Bass Highway and the modern Leven Bridge, which opened in 2011.
