Weymouth is a rural locality in the George Town local government area of Tasmania, set about 37 km north‑east of George Town and roughly 60 km from Launceston. At the 2016 census the state suburb recorded 129 residents, yet the tiny township swells with visitors each summer, drawn by its beach, tennis court, community hall and playground. The shoreline is a popular fossicking spot, celebrated for agate and chalcedony specimens, and the Bass Strait forms most of its northern edge while Pipers River borders the east.
