Anglesea is a coastal town on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road within the Surf Coast Shire, with 3,208 residents recorded in the 2021 census. The community swells each summer as Melbourne families arrive for holidays, attracted by the main beach, the quieter ‘Guvvo’s’ surf spot and lively riverbank markets along the highway. The town is accessed via the Great Ocean Road, and the former Alcoa power‑station site is now under restoration.
