Maroondah Highway runs through Coldstream, a town of 2,199 residents 36 km north‑east of Melbourne’s CBD in the Shire of Yarra Ranges, and at its junction with Melba Highway stands the historic Coombe Cottage, once owned by Dame Nellie Melba.
