Irymple is a suburb of Mildura in Victoria’s Sunraysia region, positioned just 6 km south of the Mildura centre and about 550 km northwest of Melbourne. The 2016 census recorded a population of 5,325 for Irymple and its surrounding area. Although the local railway station is now disused, the town remains well‑linked to nearby services such as the post office and a weather station within a couple of kilometres.
