Kilsyth is 32 km east of Melbourne’s CBD, split between the City of Maroondah and the Shire of Yarra Ranges. The 2021 census recorded 11,699 residents. Two main retail hubs – Churinga and Kilsyth Shopping Centres – serve the suburb, complemented by smaller strips on Colchester Road, Collins Place and Hawthory Road. An industrial zone follows Canterbury Road between Liverpool and Dorset Roads, and four primary schools, including Kilsyth Primary, cater to families.
