Patchewollock is a tiny north‑west Victorian town with 149 residents recorded in the 2021 census. Founded after the First World War as a soldier‑settlement, the community grew around the generous plains that the Aboriginal name, ‘place of plenty porcupine grass’, describes. A striking silo mural painted in 2016 by street artist Fintan Magee celebrates local grazier Nick “Noodle” Hulland, adding a splash of contemporary art to the rural landscape.
