Stanley is a small rural community about 9 km north‑east of Beechworth in Victoria, with a 2011 census population of 324. The town is surrounded by apple and nut farms and retains visible gold‑rush remnants, while nearby Parkeys Dam (0.6 km) and Fletcher Dam (2.3 km) provide easy outdoor recreation.

The village centre still offers the Stanley Pub, a Uniting Church, a recreational reserve, the Town Hall and the Athenaeum library, and the original 1850s store and powder magazine remain as heritage landmarks.
