Wycheproof is a small town of 610 residents (2021 census) situated in the centre of the Shire of Buloke, north‑western Victoria. It sits on the Calder Highway and the historic railway line still runs down the main street, while Wycheproof Airport lies less than a kilometre away, providing easy air access. Local amenities include the Wycheproof P‑12 College, a post office, police station and the heritage Wycheproof Court House, complemented by a long‑running weather station.
