Alfred Cove is a leafy southern suburb of Perth, sitting beside the sheltered cove that gives it its name. Named after Alfred Waylen, the area had 2,830 residents at the 2021 Census and is prized for its riverfront setting, which supports a rich mix of native and migratory birds across mudflats, seagrass beds and intertidal vegetation. Residents enjoy easy access to three local reserves, Tompkins Park, Bill Sweet Park and Sid Eaton Reserve, plus the nearby Alfred Cove Nature Reserve and a cluster of other green spaces such as Evershed and Marmion Parks.
