Byford sits on Perth’s south‑eastern fringe in the Shire of Serpentine‑Jarrahdale. Originating as the township of Beenup in 1906 and renamed in 1920, the suburb now blends historic brick‑making roots with generous‑lot housing estates, hobby farms geared to horses and a mix of newer residential developments such as The Glades.
