Dalyellup is a master‑planned outer‑northern suburb of the Shire of Capel, launched in 1999 through a joint venture that aimed to deliver 3,000 residential lots by 2012. Nestled between about 100 ha of pristine tuart forest – the Usher‑Dalyellup Regional Park – and 120 ha of dunes and foreshore, it lives up to its original “village in the forest by the sea” branding. A small shopping centre serves daily needs, while a larger centre opened in 2015 to match the area’s rapid growth, and a 106‑room aged‑care and community‑housing complex (Bethanie Dalyellup) adds a mature‑living option.
