Darch, WA 6065
Overview
Darch lies about 17 km north of Perth’s CBD within the City of Wanneroo. Once part of rural Landsdale, the suburb was named in 1997 and saw rapid residential development from 2001 onward, offering a mix of newer homes on former farmland. Families benefit from three local schools – Ashdale Primary (opened 2005, 596 primary students in 2008), Kingsway Christian College and Ashdale Secondary College – and abundant green space, including several small parks and the bushland reserve of Landsdale Park. Daily needs are met at the Darch Plaza shopping centre, with the larger Kingsway City Shopping Centre just to the west.
Public transport links Darch to the wider Perth region. Swan Transit operates routes 450 along Kingsway to Warwick railway station and 374 via Evandale Road to Mirrabooka bus station and Whitfords railway station, while high‑frequency 970 services run along Mirrabooka Avenue. All routes provide direct connections to central Perth.
