Forrestfield, a suburb of the City of Kalamunda ≈ 15 km southeast of Perth, sits at the base of the Darling Scarp and borders Perth Airport. The area is divided by Roe Highway, with a quiet residential zone to the south and a busy industrial precinct to the north that includes a major rail hub and the Forrestfield Marshalling Yard. The 2021 census recorded 13,181 residents, median age 38, reflecting a stable community where newer dwellings have offset a decline in household size.
