Malaga lies 11 km north of Perth’s CBD in the City of Swan. Named in 1969 after either the Spanish city or an Aboriginal term for “ironstone,” it saw early real‑estate growth before World I. Today the suburb is an industrial hub with about 2,400 businesses and a workforce exceeding 12,000.
