Welshpool is an inner‑southeastern suburb of Perth, mostly in the City of Canning and partly in the Town of Victoria Park. It lies in Perth’s main industrial corridor alongside Kewdale and Malaga, and is recognised by three silos that store feed for poultry and agriculture. The suburb’s closeness to Perth Airport and a short drive to the CBD make it a strategic logistics hub.
Welshpool railway station on the Armadale and Thornlie lines closed and was demolished on 20 November 2023. Although there is no train stop, bus routes 36, 51, 282, 283, 280, 284 and 285 run along Welshpool, Orrong and nearby roads, linking the area to Cannington, the airport and the wider Perth network.
