Woodvale, a Perth suburb split between the Cities of Joondalup and Wanneroo, recorded 9,579 residents in the 2021 census. Originally rural, residential growth began in 1979 and concluded with the Woodvale Waters estate in 1995, creating a blend of established homes and newer developments. The community reflects strong overseas ties, with 15.8 % of inhabitants born in the British Isles and 3.5 % from South Africa.
