Botany Road forms the commercial spine of the suburb, stretching from the historic St Matthew’s Church of England (built 1862) at the corner of Lord Street to the Botany Public School building with its 1868 Gothic‑influenced brickwork, and is lined with the main shopping precinct of Botany.
