Macksville is situated about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, roughly a five‑hour drive north of Sydney and a five‑hour drive south of Brisbane along the Pacific Highway.
The Pacific Highway runs through Macksville, providing convenient road connections north to Coffs Harbour and south to Kempsey. The town is also served by Macksville railway station on the North Coast line.
Within about 1–2 km you’ll find My Island and Goat Island, both roughly 1.1 km away. The historic Macksville Post Office and the Mandarin Motel are each about 2–3 km from the address.
Macksville’s centre includes the Macksville Bridge, the Macksville RSL and the Star Hotel overlooking the Nambucca River, as well as the Nambucca Valley Council chambers.

The town holds the Macksville Show on the last weekend in April and runs NSW’s oldest professional foot race, the 120 m Macksville Gift, each November. A river festival was also held from 2013 until 2016.
