Smiths Creek Road forms the eastern approach to Uki, linking the village with Stokers Siding and the Tweed Valley Way that carries traffic on to coastal towns such as Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay. The road’s streetscape is punctuated by the last remaining sawmill on Smiths Creek Road and is flanked by a series of local parks, including Gerald Parker Park, Fitzhenry Park and Uki Oval, within a few hundred metres of the waterway that gives the road its name.

Along this corridor residents and visitors enjoy easy access to Uki’s village amenities: the historic Old Butter Factory, a primary school, a post office, general store, bakery, pharmacy, laundromat and several cafés, as well as the rebuilt Mount Warning Hotel.
