Overview
Varsity Lakes, a Gold Coast suburb, had 16,493 residents at the 2021 census. Bounded by the Pacific Motorway, Reedy Creek Road and Mattocks Road, the area was redeveloped in 1999 when Delfin Lend Lease created the artificial Lake Orr and Lake Azzura and launched a mixed residential estate of houses and apartments. The suburb now incorporates the former Stephens, Andrews and part of Robina.
The community is served by Market Square and Christine Corner, offering supermarkets, cafés, banks and medical services, while Varsity College provides a large primary‑to‑secondary campus. Sports facilities include the Varsity Lakes Sports House, Central Park’s gym and courts, and a skate park. Transport is centred on Varsity Lakes railway station, the Gold Coast line terminus with half‑hourly trains, complemented by Kinetic bus routes to Robina, Broadbeach and Tweed Heads.
