Overview
Victoria Point is a coastal suburb of Redland City, 33 km southeast of Brisbane. At the 2021 census it recorded 15,140 residents living on 17.6 km² of primarily residential land, featuring a mix of family homes and six retirement villages that serve its ageing population.
The neighbourhood boasts a large shopping centre, a cinema complex, four supermarkets, lakeside restaurants and a public library within the Lakeside Shopping Centre. Two boat ramps at the headland and Thompson’s child‑safe beach provide waterfront recreation, while a ferry links directly to Coochiemudlo Island. The Cleveland‑Redland Bay Road runs north‑south through town, complemented by a local bus station, making commutes to Brisbane and surrounding suburbs convenient. Residents also enjoy nearby schools, including Victoria Point State School, St Rita’s Primary, Faith Lutheran College and Victoria Point State High School.
