Wivenhoe Pocket is a quiet rural locality in Queensland’s Somerset Region, home to 417 residents according to the 2021 census. The area takes its name from an early pastoral run managed by Edmund Blucher Uhr, who honoured the English town of Wivenhoe, and it was opened for selection in 1877 when 5,500 acres were resumed from the original run.
