Wonglepong is a quiet rural locality in Queensland’s Scenic Rim, nestled in a valley where Canungra Creek meets the Albert River. The 2021 census recorded 364 residents, many of whom live in homes spread along Beaudesert‑Nerang Road, taking advantage of the low‑lying floodplain and the steep rise toward the Tamborine Mountain plateau. The setting offers a mix of open‑space properties and hillside dwellings, providing a relaxed lifestyle with easy views of surrounding bushland.

Community life centres on a few key amenities. The heritage‑listed Wonglepong QCWA Hall on Beaudesert‑Nerang Road hosts the local Country Women’s Association and a library, while parks such as Henry Franklin Family Park and Hugh Mahoney Reserve provide open recreation. The historic Wonglepong Cemetery is also nearby. Road transport is the primary link, with Beaudesert‑Nerang Road connecting the area to Canungra, Beaudesert and Tamborine Mountain; the former railway line closed in 1955.
