Woodridge is located about 20 km south‑east of central Brisbane. Therefore the property is roughly a 20‑kilometre drive from the city centre.
The Woodridge railway station is approximately 1.1 km away and the Trinder Park railway station is about 0.9 km from the address. Both stations are part of the Queensland Rail City network and lie in Translink Zone 2.
Woodridge Fire Station and Woodridge Ambulance Station are both situated within the suburb, providing rapid emergency response. The Logan Central SES Facility is also nearby, offering additional support services.
Several parks are within easy walking distance, including Acacia Forest Park, Booran Park, Ewing Park, and Willow Park. The Woodridge Skate Bowl at Woodridge Adventure Park is also nearby for skate‑boarding enthusiasts.
At the 2021 census Woodridge had a population of 12,982 people. The median age of residents was 33 years, which is five years below the national median.
The suburb grew around the historic Booran neighbourhood, originally a timber reserve surveyed in 1888 after the South Coast railway line opened. The name Woodridge comes from an informal property name owned by Octavius Stubbs, adopted for the railway station in 1917.
In 2021 it was announced that homes in Woodridge would be demolished for the Gold Coast‑Logan Faster Rail project, which will expand the rail corridor from two to four tracks and straighten a section in preparation for the 2032 Olympic Games.
