Sisters Beach is a small town in the Waratah‑Wynyard municipality of Tasmania’s north‑west, a fifteen‑minute drive from Wynyard. Set within Rocky Cape National Park, the settlement fronts a three‑kilometre stretch of white‑sand beach and is flanked by the twin Sisters Hills, the only Tasmanian site where giant Banksia serrata grow. Nearby natural features include Lake Llewellyn, The Two Sisters mountain and Sisters Creek, offering residents access to fishing, walking and coastal recreation.

Historic routes influence travel – the old Postman’s Track that once linked Burnie and Stanley passes close by, and a hand‑built access road created by the Irby family connects the town to the regional road network. With 511 residents recorded in the 2021 census, housing is a blend of long‑standing homes and limited new construction, as development is restricted by the surrounding national park.
