Spreyton is a small town and suburb of Devonport in northern Tasmania, straddling the City of Devonport and, to a lesser extent, the Latrobe Council. At the 2021 Census it recorded 1,876 residents, giving the community a close‑knit feel. The locality is known for its long‑standing apple industry; the fourth‑generation family business Spreyton Fresh has operated orchards here since 1908 and now produces premium fresh apple juice. The local post office, opened in February 1883, anchors the village centre.

Recreation centres on a range of sporting venues. The Spreyton racecourse hosts the annual Devonport Cup each January, while the Spreyton Football Club plays Australian Rules matches at nearby Maidstone Park.
