The tram service that reached Bellevue Hill in 1909 was withdrawn in 1959, and today bus route 389 follows much of that corridor to the city. The 2021 Census counted 10,590 residents, predominantly professionals and managers, with a housing mix dominated by owner‑occupied homes built between 1910 and 1930 and many redeveloped in the 1990s, including luxury estates that have sold for over $20 million.
