Beauty Point is a small town on the Tamar River in north‑east Tasmania, 45 km north of Launceston along the West Tamar Highway. At the 2016 Census it recorded 1,222 residents and falls within the West Tamar Council. The town’s deep‑water port and easy highway access make it a hub for boating, fishing and regional transport.

Residents enjoy a vibrant waterfront lifestyle supported by the Australian Maritime College, which houses more than 100 residential students and operates two training vessels. Local attractions include Seahorse World, a working seahorse farm, and Platypus House, where visitors meet native platypus and echidnas.
